Albany Stoneware Auction Highlights
Heavily influenced by Manhattan's stoneware craft, Albany, New York, blossomed into a major stoneware center in the early 1800's, at first embracing incised stoneware in the New York City style, then eventually settling into the typical New York State aesthetic of the mid-to-late 19th century. Other local potting centers like Troy and West Troy (Watervliet) are also included here.
