One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Bird Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR / TROY," NY State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a bird with impressed eye, perched on a stylized flourish. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Excellent condition with a salt drip to front and some staining. H 12".
