Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with flared base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded rim, featuring the elaborate stenciled advertising, "H.F. BEHRENS. / GROCER, / 2217 & 2219 / MARKET STREET / WHEELING W. VA. / 3601 JACOB & / SOUTH BRANCH." Stenciled tulip at center. Excellent condition with a minor chip on interior of rim. H 6 7/8" ; Diam. 7 3/4".
