Rare Slip-Decorated Redware Mug, attributed to Galena, IL, second half 19th century, cylindrical form with squared rim and applied handle, decorated with dipped yellow slip under a clear lead glaze. Desirable glaze treatment and form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some residue to interior base. H 3 3/8".
