One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Stamped "MOYER. HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1858-1861, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip with stamens in the Harrisburg style. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Excellent condition with a minor chip on interior of rim and a small, faint Y-shaped line on underside, not visible on interior. H 10".
