One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "MOYER . HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1858-1861, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip with stamens in the Harrisburg style. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 3 1/2" inverted y-shaped line from rim on side of jar. Two small chips to interior rim. Very minor flakes to top of rim. Some staining. H 8 7/8".
