One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled rim, decorated with a large double-stemmed clover plant design extending up the front. Brushed swag decoration flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a forty-year Maryland collection. Crazing and thin cracks throughout pitcher.
