Glazed Redware Canning Jar, probably Galena, IL, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with sloped shoulder and narrow opening with rounded rim, the surface covered in a lead glaze over a mottled olive and orange ground. Very nice condition. Small chip and tiny nick at edge on underside. Light wear to rim. 1 1/4" surface line on exterior of rim, not visible on interior. H 8 5/8".
