Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware "GR" Mug, Westerwald, Germany origin, 18th century, highly ovoid mug with footed base and heavily tooled collar, decorated with a molded and applied "GR" medallion surrounded by incised floral petals. Additional incised floral motifs to sides of mug. Cobalt highlights throughout. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor in-the-firing flaws. H 6".
