Rare Glazed Redware Figural Jug, English origin, 19th century, wheel-thrown and hand-modeled jug in the form of a hatted gentleman with hands tucked in his coat pockets, fashioned with an applied spout at shoulder and ribbed handle on reverse. Surface dipped in yellow slip and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed and incised buttons and button holes and sgraffito breast pockets. Some wear to handle, hat, arms, and mouth of spout. H 11".
