Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with crested bird perched on a looping flourish. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice condition with some oversalting to rim and base area, a few minor rim chips, and old sticker residue to interior. H 10 3/8".
