Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird-on-Stump Decoration, attributed to Brady & Ryan, Ellenville, NY, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with paddle-shaped tail, perched on an elaborate stump flanked by shrubs. Two chips to proper left handle. A chip to proper right handle. A few minor rim nicks. H 11 3/4".
