Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Leaf Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, wide, cylindrical crock with squared rim, tooled shoulder, and applied tab handles, brush-decorated with a leaf motif on the front and reverse as well as cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Very nice condition with two small rim chips, a tiny nick to one handle, and some old paint residue to interior. Diam. 9 3/8" ; H 4 7/8".
