Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, flare-rimmed jar with tooled shoulder, tapered rim, and small arched handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant motif. Chips to handles. Chips to interior of rim. Exterior of rim with a 1 1/2" glazed-over chip and a shallow 3/4" rim chip. Light wear to cobalt. Minor residue to surface. H 10".
