Two Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Bird Decorations, Ft. Edward, NY origin, circa 1875, a three-gallon cylindrical crock, stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," paired with a three-gallon crock, stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO." Ottman crock with significant surface restoration to left side/reverse, a large unrestored Y-shaped crack to underside, extending a short distance onto base, and some unrestored exfoliation to right side. New York Stoneware Co. crock with a restored top-to-bottom crack from rim on reverse, a shorter restored crack from rim on left side of crock, hairlines to underside and base, and a minor handle chip. H (of taller) 11 3/4".
