Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with brushed drooping floral motif, stamped "W.H. FARRAR & CO. / GEDDES, N.Y.," paired with a three-gallon, squat-shaped jug with brushed and slip-trailed grapes motif, stamped "A.O. WHITTEMORE / HAVANA.N.Y." Farrar jar with an X-shaped line on underside, part of which extends a few inches up front of jar. Additionally, a 6" reversed C-shaped crack to reverse, a lime ping to reverse, peeling to glaze at base on reverse, and chips to inner rim for lid. Jug with significant restoration throughout, including some restoration to handle and spout. Additionally, areas of fry to cobalt. H (of jug) 13".
