Two Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Ft. Edward, NY origin, circa 1875, a two-gallon cylindrical crock, stamped "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO., / FORT EDWARD N.Y.," paired with a two-gallon semi-ovoid jar, stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y." Haxstun crock with significant surface restoration, not affecting cobalt, as well as some unrestored exfoliation to side of crock. Ottman jar with extensive restoration to reverse, including rim on reverse. H (of smaller) 9 5/8".
