Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and semi-rounded rims, one brush-decorated with a circumferential stem bearing leaves and solid, circular blossoms below a freehand band, the other with related design featuring open-centered blossoms. Striped jar with small chip to underside and a few minor, glazed-over base nicks. Other jar with a chip to underside and two minor base nicks. H (of each) 10 1/2".
