Two One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, PA origin, second half 19th century, both of cylindrical form, one with brushed horizontal tulip motif, stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.," Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875; the other with brushed swag-and-hanging-flower motif, Southeastern PA origin. Remmey jar with small rim chips, a minor chip to underside, and light surface wear. Other jar with base chips and a tiny rim chip. H (of Remmey jar) 10 1/4".
