Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Palatine, WV, circa 1880, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall collar and semi-rounded rim, decorated on the collar and body with a stenciled design of a scrolled flowering vine. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing surface crazing to underside, not visible on interior, as well as some very minor crazing to rim. H 13 3/8".
