Glazed Redware Shaving Mug, possibly Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, cylindrical mug with tooled banding and attached cup at shoulder, the rim area pierced with original holes for a wire bail handle. Surface covered in a heavy lead glaze with bright-orange coloration throughout. Two rim chips and rim wear. Shallow chipping around base. H 4 1/2" ; L 6 5/8".
