Glazed Redware Jar, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flared collar, the surface covered in a lead glaze over a mottled light and dark orange ground with iron flecking throughout. Provenance: From a long-term private collection of Galena, IL redware consigned to this auction. A 1" glazed flake to shoulder area. Other small glaze flakes and surface wear. Rim chips. Wear to rim and inner rim for lid. H 10 1/2".
