Glazed Redware Canning Jar, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, the surface covered in a lead glaze over a dark-green ground with orange spotting throughout. Provenance: From a long-term private collection of Galena, IL redware consigned to this auction. Very nice condition, the top of the rim with wear and a few shallow chips. H 8".
