One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with tooled rim molding, decorated around the midsection with three tulips emanating from leafy stems. Swag decoration flanking spout and the sides of the collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a forty-year Maryland collection. A faint V-shaped line, partially visible on interior, extending approximately 4" on collar and touching base of spout. A 3/4" salt drip to collar. A crack in lower handle terminal.
