One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG", PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with tall collar semi-squared rim molding, the front decorated with an unusual brushed tulip motif featuring spotting and a dashed tip. Brushed leaf design to spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Some fry to cobalt. A thin 5 1/2" crack to left of spout. A small chip to spout. A small in-the-firing surface chip to reverse.
