Bellarmine Stoneware Jug, probably Frechen, Germany, 16th or 17th century, highly-ovoid form with narrow base and tooled neck, decorated with a raised bearded mask above a seal with stylized floral design, the surface covered in an iron-oxide slip with overlying salt glaze. Heavy chipping to base. Other minor wear. H 9”.
