Stoneware Bellarmine Jug, probably Frechen, Germany, 16th or 17th century, highly-ovoid form with narrow base, tall neck, and applied handle, decorated with a raised bearded mask at the neck and coat-of-arms at the midsection, the surface dipped in iron slip and covered in a light salt glaze. Chipping around base. Otherwise excellent condition. H 8 1/2".
