Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "HARRISBURG PA," attributed to William Moyer, circa 1858, ovoid jar with nicely-formed rim and applied lug handles, decorated with two cobalt daisy blossoms extending from a leafy stem. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Good form, size, mark, and decoration. Chipping to end of one handle. Tiny nick to end of opposite handle. Two miniscule nicks on interior of rim.
