Three-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG," circa 1865, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, decorated with a leafy branch with hanging blossom of graduated cobalt spots. Includes a salt-glazed stoneware lid, impressed 3, maker unknown. Crock with short crack from rim above one handle and a few minor rim chips. Lid with crack to edge, large loss to flange on underside, and chip to underside.
