One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with flattened rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower with blossom composed of graduated spots. 1 3/4" rim chip on reverse. Minor rim chip to front. X-shaped hairline near base. Additional hairlines at base and underside. Three short cracks from rim.
