Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate brushed cobalt tulip with dotted center. Shoulder decorated with a "6" flanked by dashes. Small chip on interior of rim. Short Y-shaped hairline at base, continuing onto underside. Additional faint horizontal line at base, continuing onto underside. In-the-firing dry spots to Albany slip on interior.
