Large-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, possibly Midwestern or KY origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with applied thick handle and heavy tooling at base of collar, decorated on the front with a brushed cobalt flower with dotted border along with swags to the left and right. Collar decorated with several swags. Handle decorated with cobalt stripes. Repair to spout. Hairlines to collar. Minor X-shaped line in underside. H 14 1/2".
