Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical form with tall flaring collar and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt swags on the front and back, as well as under the handles. An unusual form for this maker. 3" x 1 3/4" stapled section at rim. Rim chips. H 10 7/8".
