Westerwald Stoneware "GR" Mug with Incised Decoration, German origin, circa 1760, with bulbous body, tooled foot, and heavily-tooled collar, the body decorated with incised flower petals surrounding an applied Georgius Rex medallion in the shape of a blossom. This decoration is flanked by incised tulips. Decoration and collar highlighted in cobalt slip. Excellent condition with two shallow chips to side of handle. H 5 3/4".
