One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower head. Spout chip. Contact mark on front. A smaller contact mark above this mark has been colored blue. Two glazed-over base chips. Reddish-brown touch marks on the sides, probably caused by contact with iron in the firing. H 11".
