Glazed Redware Jar, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded and tooled shoulder and slightly flared rim, the lead-glazed surface featuring orange coloration with green accents, flecked throughout with iron. Old red paint to top of rim and interior of rim. Minor traces of old red paint to shoulder molding and base. Otherwise excellent condition with a few minor rim chips and very minor wear to shoulder molding and base. H 10 1/4".
