Unusual Polychrome-Glazed Redware Rebekah-at-the-Well Teapot, American, second half 19th century, molded teapot with relief depicting of a Rebekah at the Well, flute gooseneck spout, and spurred handle, coated in cream-colored slip over a red clay ground and decorated in brown, green, and yellow. Related to pieces produced at the Southern Porcelain Company or South Carolina Pottery Company in Kaolin, South Carolina, but composed of red clay. Spout of teapot with wear and a small chip. Teapot in otherwise excellent condition. Wear to inner rim for lid. Small chips and wear along flange on underside of lid. H (including lid) 8".
