Scarce Diminutive Albany-Slip-Glazed Tanware Pitcher and Miniature Jug, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with wide, coved molding at base of collar and flaring rim, brush-decorated throughout in Albany slip with dash, stripe, and drape motifs. Additional spotted accents to collar. Stripe decoration to handle and highlight to base of handle. Lot includes a miniature Albany-slip-glazed jug on string. Among the smallest tanware pitchers that we have ever offered. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 4 7/8".
