Large-Sized Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall, flaring collar and tooled rim, brush-decorated in Albany slip with an undulating vine between freehand stripe extending across the body. Spout decorated with diagonal slashes flanked by vertical stripes and stylized flower blossoms. Albany slip highlight to rim. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an unglazed spot to spout. H 11 1/8".
