Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bottle with Swirl Pattern, Stamped "E.W. REINHARDT'S / POTTERY / VALE, NO. CAR.," circa 1940, ovoid form with pinched sides and narrow, tubular neck, composed of swirled clay, the surface covered in an alkaline glaze with blue-and-white rutile accents. Impressed with Reinhardt Brothers maker's mark on underside. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some bubbling to glaze at base. H 7 1/2".
