Rare Stoneware Bottle with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder and tall spout with semi-rounded mouth, brush-decorated on three sides with a vertical tulip motif. This form is closely-related to those produced by Huntingdon, PA potter, Henry Glazier, who is believed to have learned the stoneware craft in Baltimore. Two vertical hairlines to side of bottle, measuring approximately 3 1/2" and 2 1/2". A 1 3/4" hairline at base extending 1/2" up base. A semi-circular line to underside. A minuscule worn spot to spout, possibly in-the-making. H 6 3/4".
