Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ALBANY.NY," probably O'Connell Pottery, Albany, NY, circa 1860, narrow-bodied, cylindrical from with circular bunghole and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Decoration has in-the-firing dryness and significant painted touch-up. A 6 7/8" crack from rim on reverse. Two additional thin lines extending from rim to shoulder. A few rim chips. H 15 1/2".
