One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to William Morgan, possibly with Thomas Amoss, Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and arched tab handles, brush-decorated with a curving garland bearing a central flower blossom. Incised "1 1/2" under one handle. One handle chip. Large network of lines descending from rim to midsection. An in-the-firing contact mark to rim, including an in-the-firing chip and small in-the-firing ping. H 11".
