Rare Alkaline-Glazed Chicken Waterer, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA origin, circa 1970s-1980s, ovoid form with pointed finial, carved and formed watering trough at base, and handle at shoulder on reverse, the surface covered in a glossy dark-olive alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. The first Meaders example of this form that we have offered. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 10".
