Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Clabber Bowl, Edgefield District, SC origin, third quarter 19th century, flaring bowl with applied handle, the surface covered in a mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze with brownish area to one side. Provenance: Richard and Cindy Pearce Collection. A 2" hairline from rim. A few minor rim chips. A tiny base nick. A small in-the-firing ping to one side. Interior base with a larger ping and wear. H 5 3/4 ; Diam. 7 7/8".
