Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bowl, Edgefield District, SC, third quarter 19th century, shallow, flaring bowl with thin, semi-rounded rim, the exterior coated in a gray-green-to-brown alkaline glaze, the interior coated in a gray-green alkaline glaze. Provenance: Richard and Cindy Pearce Collection. Three rim chips, the largest measuring 1 1/8". Some light surface wear to exterior. Diam. 11 3/4" ; H 3 3/4".
