Scarce Half-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "P.A. HUFFMAN," Madison County, KY origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, impressed with Philip A. Huffman maker's mark at shoulder. A restored 1 7/8" chip to exterior of rim with restoration paint spreading beyond the chip. A 2" x 1" restored area to exterior shoulder area, not visible on interior. Small chips to base, including a narrow glazed-over base chip. A hairline across underside. A few tiny Y-shaped lines to underside. H 8 1/8".
