Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to E.B. Hissong, Cassville, PA, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid pitcher with tall collar and heavily-tooled rim molding, brush-decorated with an undulating stem bearing flowers and graduated leaves. Swag decoration to collar and flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. An in-the-firing base chip and minor base chip. A 1 1/8" chipped section to rim and minor rim nick. A nick to molding at base of collar. H 9 7/8".
