Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "RICHEY & HAMILTON. / PALATINE. / W. VA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with Richey & Hamilton maker's stenciling, various stenciled flourishes, a stenciled "2," and freehand stripes at the shoulder and base. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 11 3/4".
