Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to A. & W. Boughner, Greensboro, PA, circa 1855, semi-ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and tooling to body and shoulder, brush-decorated with opposing graduated swag motifs. Impressed "2" at shoulder. Tight lines in underside forming a 2 3/4" Y at base on side of jar. A few small base chips. H 12".
